Volunteer Opportunities

April 29: Oak Harbor High School Track Meet

It is that time of year again; Spring Sports and home track meets for the OHHS Wildcats. We are once again looking for volunteers for our home track meets. It is a great way to enjoy the sunshine. No experience necessary, just dress for the weather. We are looking for volunteers to help as timers, work at field events, hurdle crew and more. It takes a minimum of 30 volunteers per meet.

Time: 3:15 pm to 7:30 pm  
Need: 30 - 40 volunteers  
Place: Oak Harbor High School

May 1: Oak Harbor High School Track Meet

May 3: Oak Harbor Intermediate School 5th Grade Spring Social

Oak  Harbor Intermediate is having their 5th grade spring social and would like 12-15 volunteers to help with chaperoning, handing out food and drinks, helping with games movies, and cleanup.

Time: 4:45 pm to 6:15 pm
Need: 10 volunteers
Place: Oak Harbor Intermediate School

May 10: Oak Harbor Elementary School High-Five Friday

Oak Harbor Elementary does a “High-Five Friday” once a month to give high-fives and cheer students on as they enter school that day. Sign up just so we know how many people to expect, but volunteers for this event do not need to be cleared and/or have a volunteer badge.  

Time: 8:15 am to 8:45 am
Need: Unlimited

May 16: Oak Harbor Intermediate School 4th Grade Welcome Event

Oak  Harbor Intermediate is having their 4th grade welcome event and would like volunteers to help pass out popcorn, bake cookies, and make welcome bags.

Time: 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Need: 10 volunteers
Place: Oak Harbor Intermediate School

May 16: North Whidbey Middle School Track Meet

NWMS will be hosting a home track meet at the OHHS Stadium and are looking for 20 volunteers to help with the event. No track experience is required. This is a great way to enjoy the sunshine, just dress for the weather (layers). 

Time: 3:15 pm to 7:00 pm
Need: 20 Volunteers

May 16: North Whidbey Middle School Track Concessions
Oak Harbor High School Athletic Boosters are seeking 2 volunteers to work concessions at the NWMS track meet.

Time: 3:40 pm to 7:00 pm  
Need: 2 volunteers

Hillcrest Elementary School PTA is hosting a Spring Carnival and are looking for volunteers to help with setup, game attendants, concessions and ticketing, and break-down.

Time: Many shifts available
Need: 6 – 20 volunteers per shift (dependent on shift)

May 22 - 24: Olympic View Elementary School BOGO Scholastic Book Fair

Olympic View Elementary School PTA will be hosting a BOGO Scholastic Book Fair and are looking for volunteers to assist with shopper support. There is one shopper support shift per day (cashier’s must be paid PTA members).

Time: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm the first day, 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm the second and third day
Need: 2 volunteers per shopper support shift

May 24: Hillcrest Elementary School Student Store

Hillcrest Elementary School PTA is hosting a Student Store event and are looking for volunteers to help with shopper support. 

Time: Setup shift: 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Cleanup shift: 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Need: Setup shift: 5 volunteers, Cleanup shift: 3 volunteers

May 24: Olympic View Elementary School PTA Movie Night

Olympic View Elementary School PTA will be hosting a PTA Movie Night and are looking for volunteers to assist with setup and cleanup. There are 2 shifts, one for setup and one for cleanup. Volunteers are welcome to stay for the movie. 

Time: Setup shift: 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Cleanup shift: 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Need: Setup shift: 5 volunteers, Cleanup shift: 3 volunteers
